Research Interest

Digital health technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) have emerged as an important issue for patients, nurses and nursing informatics professionals to address.  Research and media publicaitons identify real-world interactions with technologies can lead their human operators to make errors in decision-making (e.g. AI hallucinations may affect the quality of a patient decision making about their health and wellness).  No where is this more important than in healthcare.  However, few studies have examined how these technologies and their interactions with their human operators influence error rates.
