Biography
With more than 11 million community-dwelling older adults in England and Wales, and one in four having two or more long-term conditions, the need to help older people to remain healthy and well is a priority.
Research Interest
Allison is an experienced mental health nurse, advanced clinical practitioner and consultant nurse, with over 18 years of expertise in mental health and NHS care. Currently a consultant nurse within community older adult mental health services, her work focuses on the 4 pillars of practice: supporting evidence based clinical practice, education, research, and leadership and management. She has an honorary contract with the University of Cumbria and provides collaboration from clinical practice to education programmes; with a passion and focus on patient safety and to develop the student nursing programme and experience for professional practice.
